Ouch
Well, I guess if I put myself out there for reviews, some of them are not going to be so positive. This one definitely took the wind out of my sails. . . .
Musing from a obsessive computer music composer with hippie-ish tendencies.

Wow, that was harsh. Ironically, though, he was heavy on the "cliches" himself. He used so many metaphors that I had to read it twice.
I also got the impression that he didn't take the time to read about how the album was put together. He didn't say it outright, but I got the impression he thought everything was a sampled instrument or preset. But you included lots of live stuff (even though it was edited) and it resulted in a collaborative project. He didn't give any reference to that.
:-( Bummed for you.
Phew, that was a pretty huge smack in the face. I guess everyone has their own opinion and he decided to share his. It's all a part of putting yourselve out there my dear - you have to swallow the good with the bad. Meaning you are open to both the highs and the lows. Rest assured that you do have an audiance who does enjoy your music and more importantly, remind yourself of why you compose in the first place. Because you love what you do. No one can ever take that away from you.
Does this guy even make music of his own or is he of the classic ilk "those who can't, criticize?" He certainly seems to be representative of the demographic of "those creative writing majors who can't get published, write really cheesy reviews for internet outlets". It's a POS review, James - your fan club still rocks out hard on Maui. We love you and your colossal talent.
